MOON-EYED HARE

ILLUSTRATIONS BY JULIA DELGADO

Greetings and thank you for stepping into my creative world! I'm Julia Delgado, an illustrator based in the charming state of Connecticut. You can find my whimsical creations under the moniker of Moon-Eyed Hare.
My artistic expression is deeply rooted in the realm of nature, exploring themes of life's cycles and the delicate equilibrium between light, darkness, and enchantment. I possess a particular fondness for rendering insects, animals, and botanical elements with a distinctive illustrative realism. Employing a nuanced color palette comprising blacks, whites, grays, and touches of light brown, my creations draw inspiration from diverse sources including my cherished companion, Bean the Netherland dwarf rabbit, my green witchcraft practice, and esteemed artists such as Adam Oehlers, Lauren Marx, Zoe Keller, and Jessica Roux.
You'll discover my art sprinkled across the digital and physical landscape, from my online shop to inside esteemed establishments like Hive & Forge (Salem and Lowell, MA.), Fable (Southington, CT.), Ravenstone Gifts and LaLa Books (Lowell MA.).
Armed with a BFA in Illustration from the Hartford Art School and an MBA in Marketing from Post University, I blend creativity with strategic savvy. When I'm not lost in the world of art, you can find me working in higher education and co-hosting "The Witching" podcast, where my co-host and I explore all things supernatural and magical.
Got a project in mind? I would love to work with more companies on fun products like the bookends I designed for Bookish Box, or designing patterns for any textile companies. Drop me a line via my contact page, and let's work together!
